Healing Hearts - a team that understands the pain within
We have endeavoured to build a team that not only goes beyond mere awareness of mental health issues but also understands the pain and anguish experienced by mentally ill women. They stand as a collective force of compassion who devote their time to treat, support and care for these women; while challenging the stigmas and misconceptions surrounding mental illness that have led to their abandonment and isolation by loved ones. With their assistance and support, we transform isolation into connection, despair into hope, and pain into healing.

A Testament to a Life of Dedication and Selfless Service
All her life, Daisy Mathew dedicated herself to providing compassion, dignity, and respect to mentally ill women cast aside and forgotten by society.
For her impactful work and never-ending devotion at Abayashram, Daisy Mathew (Founder, Vision India) was awarded the prestigious "Vanitha Rathna" by the then Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Smt. C. Motamma, in 2002.
Her vision to provide a safe and nurturing haven of comfort, healing, and hope to mentally ill women continues to inspire and keeps us going.
